Safe Days & Fertile Days Explained
Your cycle has different phases
Every menstrual cycle has days when pregnancy is very likely (fertile) and days when it is unlikely (safe). SafeCycle predicts these for you using easy colours.
The colour codes
- Maroon — Period days: your actual bleeding days.
- Yellow — Ovulation day: the single most fertile day, when an egg is released.
- Red — Fertile / Unsafe days: the days around ovulation when pregnancy chance is highest.
- Green — Safe days: days outside the fertile window, when pregnancy chance is low.
What is the fertile window?
The fertile window is roughly the 6 days ending on ovulation day. If you want to avoid pregnancy, use protection on the red and yellow days. If you are planning a pregnancy, these are your best days.
Important: No prediction method is 100% accurate. Cycles can shift due to stress, illness or lifestyle. Use SafeCycle as guidance, not as a guaranteed contraceptive method.
